Your Tour Guide will introduce you to Carlisle Lugavalium, the Stanegate and the Wall Fort Uxellodunum as you leave the city. The tour is even greater value this year, one hour longer allowing you more time to explore the World Heritage Site and see some of the best views along the route of Hadrian’s Wall like Lanercost Priory and Birdoswald Fort. The tour includes a 45 minute walk along the National Trail; voted the best experience of the tour by passengers in 2015 & 2016 (walking shoes/boots essential) Or take a tea break before joining the group at the end of their walk. Following a view of the Vallum at Cawfields, we will enjoy a short visit to Housesteads Fort Visitor Centre for lunch or if you are very keen, climb up to the Wall and Fort for some wonderful views from the Whin Sill. Finally, for a fantastic finish to our Hadrian’s Wall Guided Tour experience, entry is included to the award winning Vindolanda Fort and Museum where exciting excavations are currently taking place.

Advance booking is advisable as we use mini-coaches for our friendly tours.
Refreshments are available at each site but queues may occur at busy times so bringing a packed lunch will save time to explore the site.
Wear sensible footwear and showerproof clothing. Essential if you plan to join the walk.
We regret that we cannot welcome dogs on board (except guide dogs). Please note dogs are not permitted on the Vindolanda site or in Housestead’s Museum
