We invite you to Join one of our occasional special guided tours, a real ‘tour de force’ presented by tour guide Ian Robson. Hear about the fabulous history of Carlisle Castle, one of our city’s most iconic Grade 1 listed buildings. From William II to King David I and Edward I, to Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite uprising. You will also hear about the Civil War and the Siege of Carlisle, Mary Queen of Scots, and the notorious Border Reivers.
