We invite you to join a very special tour of both Citadel Towers.

See remains of the original Citadel built in 1542 on the orders of King Henry VIII; also the Nisi Prius Courtroom in the east Tower. Hear why it was built and the historic events that influenced its role in history.

You will also visit the Grand Jury Room and Former Crown Court in the west Tower. Also see the beautiful restored ceiling in The Old Court Room.

You can turn up at the door but places are limited so you may be disappointed.

Other Information

The tour is not suitable for very young children. There are many steps and stairways to negotiate.
