Join our Hidden History Tour exploring both Citadel Towers. See the remains of the original Citadel built in 1541 on the orders of Henry VIII. Hear about the history of the site from a gate in the 12thc Norman city walls to the Citadel built on the orders of Henry VIII, the 19thc City Goal and the Crown Court in 1822. You will visit the Tudor Gun ports, the Nisi Prius Court Room, the Grand Jury Room and the former Crown Court.
