Join us on a tour of the west Citadel Tower to hear what it was like to be a prisoner in the cells, to be brought before the Judge in the Crown Court and to be taken to the Condemned Cell? Hear about crimes and punishments for both children and adults. What crime did a prisoner commit to experience the horror of transportation to Australia? What crime did a boy of 9 commit to be given hard labour? Learn all about the history of this well known grade 1 listed building built in 1822 on the site of the original built in 1542 on the orders of Henry VIII.
